MANY-WORLDS SIMULATOR
THE BOX
Somewhere behind these doors is the world you came from. You get three ampoules and one memory of home. Find it before you run out, or stay lost forever. Headphones on.
Play: limited ampoules, real ways to lose. Explore: no goal, no limits, every door labeled.
or
Two players, one search. You each explore, you see each other in the same world, you share what you remember, and you can save each other.
You don't need to have seen Dark Matter. Here is everything you need.
The box. A sealed steel box. Walk in, inject an ampoule, and the walls open into an endless corridor of doors.
The doors. Each door opens onto a different version of Earth. One of them is your home. Your mood (Hope, Fear, Wonder) shifts which worlds you get.
Peek first. Step through a door to look around. The box stands right behind you: walk back into it to return for free. Linger too long and the world keeps you.
Memories. Home is not the lab you start in. It is one of the worlds behind the doors, picked in secret each run. You start with one memory of it, and every wrong world brings back another clue. You also remember one thing that was always where you arrived. Some worlds look exactly like home but get that one thing wrong. When a world truly matches, press This is home. Stay.
Your notebook. Before you inject, write what you remember about home. Specific words pull matching doors toward you.
Ampoules are your time. Each one opens the corridor for about two minutes. Leaving a world you chose to stay in costs one. Run out in the wrong world and you are stuck there, and with no ampoules left its dangers can kill you.
YOUR NOTEBOOK
Write down what you remember about home, as precisely as you can. The doors listen to specific words. Vague ones do almost nothing.
